Andy Rubin today unveiled his Palo Alto startup’s much-anticipated smartphone, which appears, at least as hardware goes, to challenge both the iPhone and Pixel in virtually every way.
First, the specs: The Essential PH-1 will come with a 5.7-inch screen (slightly bigger than the iPhone 7 Plus) that’s truly edge-to-edge, wrapping around the 8-megapixel selfie camera. There’s a 13-megapixel camera on the back.
